"On Tuesday 11 February Tegid
class visited Connah’s Quay power station. We had to wear a yellow helmet, yellow
safety vest, safety glasses and ear plugs. We made a circuit with wires,
batteries, switches and a bulb and we walked around the power station. We saw
some steam coming out of the chimneys. We went to see the machines and it was
so loud. There were red and green lines painted all around the power station and
we were not allowed to pass the red lines because it was dangerous. We also watched
a DVD about keeping safe with electricity in the classroom. Just before we went
home we went to see the bird hide to look at the birds on the River Dee. We had
so much fun"
